Recipe: Batch Printing 12 Phone Cases with a Positioning Jig

01 · Recipe Overview

A beginner-friendly production recipe: 12 phone cases per tray using a simple positioning jig. One tray takes about 18 minutes unattended, which means a single PV-A3 Pro can comfortably produce 300+ cases per day.

02 · Printing Parameters

  • Printer: A3 UV Printer
  • Material: pc_case
  • Ink: CMYK + White
  • Print Mode: 6 Pass
  • Resolution: 1440x720 dpi
  • Printing Time: 18 min

03 · Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Place all 12 cases into the jig and check camera cutout alignment
  2. Wipe every case with isopropyl alcohol
  3. Align the 12-up layout file to the jig origin mark in your RIP
  4. Print CMYK + one white layer at 1440x720 dpi, height 2mm, bi-directional
  5. Add a varnish pass for designs that need extra scratch resistance

04 · Print Test Results

  • Adhesion: No peeling after 2 weeks of daily use testing
  • Coverage: Solid colors on both clear and colored cases
  • Finish: Slight texture at 720dpi — invisible at arm’s length
  • Known Issues: Warped cases cause head strikes — always check case flatness first
